Louis P. Welsbacher

December 9, 1916 - August 5, 2003
 

Louis P. Welsbacher, 86 of Butler, died Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at his residence.

Born December 9, 1916 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Theodore Welsbacher and Bertha Tarr.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Mercedes Mentzer Welsbacher, deceased July 17, 1998.

He worked as a Steelworker for J & L Steel retiring in 1978 after working 42 years.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Mary Lou) Drilling, Chillicothe, Illinois, Mrs. James (Linda) Smith of Prospect, Mrs. Elliot (Ann) Naar of Butler, Seven Grandchildren , two Great-Granddaughters, Number of Nieces and Nephews two Sisters, Mildred Mentzer of Pittsburgh, and Dorie Baker of Steubenville, Ohio.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by one son, six brothers and two sisters.

Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, on Thursday, August 7, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m..

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Friday, August 8, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Barry Keurulainen Officiating. Interment will follow in Brownsdale Cemetery
