Ivan Jack Allshouse,
93, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on
September 5, 2012 at 8:20 a.m. at the
Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born March
24, 1919 in Brookville, Pennsylvania to the
late John Irvin Allshouse and Pearl T. Geist
Mr. Allshouse was a
Specialist 1st Class, serving in the United
States Coast Guard during World War II. He
was a 1942 graduate of Clarion College,
where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree
in education. Mr. Allshouse was a Secondary
Math and Science teacher at Moniteau High
School from 1954 to 1976. He was a member of
the North Main Street Church of God where he
was a member of the Keenagers Sunday School
Class. He was also a member of the AARP.
Mr. Allshouse is
survived by one daughter, Linda Neyman of
Butler, PA; one son, Keith I. Allshouse and
his wife Doris of Durham, NC; four
grandchildren, Gregory Neyman and his wife
Lisa, Stephen Neyman and his wife Kris,
Roger Neyman and Amy Fowler and her husband
Craig; seven great-grandchildren; two
sisters, June Hansen of Centralia, WA and
Ruth Lindeman and her husband Robert of
Pollock Pines, CA and also by a number of
nieces and nephews.
In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by his
wife, Hilma Grace (Nale) Allshouse whom he
married February 6, 1942 and who passed away
August 1, 2004
and also by two sisters and seven brothers.
