Virginia R. Baird,
age 93, of Port St. Lucia, Florida, died Tuesday, December 20, 2005
at 8:25 p.m. in the Brighton Gardens Nursing Home, Port St. Lucie,
Florida.
Born February 26,
1912 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of J. Boyd and
Zula Douthett Rumbaugh.
Mrs. Baird was a high
school teacher at the Butler Area High School. She was a former
member of Hill United Presbyterian Church.
She also had made her home in Franklin
and Oil City; Claremont, New Hampshire and Stuart, Florida.
Mrs. Baird is
survived by one son, Dr. Paul C. Baird of Natchez, Louisiana; four
grandchildren, Andrea Anthony of Brighton, Colorado, Jeremy Baird of
Natchez, Louisiana, Chardie Baird of Bedford, Texas, and Spencer
Baird of Perrysburg, Ohio; and by one great-grandson, Brendan
Anthony.
Her husband, W.
Kenneth Baird who was deceased on August 20, 1983, one son, Dr.
Bruce D. Baird who was deceased on August 20, 1983, a sister, Ruth
Andrew and a brother, Jack Rumbaugh, preceded Mrs. Baird in death.
Friends will be
received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North
Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 from
11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Funeral services will
be held at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, December
27, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Michael L. Harvey, pastor of
Westminster Presbyterian Church in America, officiating.
Interment will follow
in Eau Claire Cemetery. |
