Mary Margaret "Pep" Pepper
Bauer, 83,went to be with the Lord and the Blessed Mary
at 1:35 a.m. Wednesday August 17, 2011. She passed away
suddenly at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware.
She was born May 22, 1928 in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Robert Pepper and
Mary E. (Taylor) Pepper.
Mary devoted her life to her
husband, children and grandchildren. She was a member of
St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church in Center Township.
Mary graduated from All Girl Catholic High the Cathedral
in Pittsburgh. She was a member of the Cana Club for 20
years, the Catholic Daughters of American including
traveling with the C.D. of A. Drum and Bugle Corps in
the 70's as a "Corp Mom". Mary was also a member of the
Associated Artist of Butler County including Past
President, and a member of the "500" card club for 45
years until her death. She was completely self-taught in
oil painting and moved on to water color painting which
she loved the most and won many awards over the years.
Mary also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing
"500" with her best friends, watching figure skating
once she could not skate her self any longer, and most
important in her life a very special devotion to God and
the Blessed Mary. Mary was a kind, gentle and holy woman
who will be missed by many.
Mary was adored by her six
children and their families, John E. Bauer and Jill
Shorak of Industry, PA, Mary Beth Bauer of Butler, PA,
Patricia A. Dittman and Glenn of Butler, PA, Kenneth P.
Bauer and Terri of Coppell, TX, Robert J. Bauer and
Nancy of Middletown, DE and Kathleen S. Bauer-Pittman of
Butler, PA.; twelve grandchildren Carrie, Joe, Tom,
Rene, Mike, Joshua, Erik, Audrey, Christine, Laura,
Adam, and Kayla; six great-grandchildren, Daniel,
Dawson, Rylan, Aisley, Lindsey and Joey; three brothers,
Robert Pepper, Edward Pepper and John Pepper all of CA.;
two sisters, Audrey Howard and Rita Breyer both of CA.
and a number of step brothers and step sisters also
survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she
was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years
Donald J. Bauer whom she married on May 14, 1952 and
passed away on November 4, 1996 and also by one brother
Thomas Pepper.

on Monday, August 22, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will
be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from
the St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, 1660 North Main
Street Ext. Butler, PA, with Reverend Father James
Salzberg of St. Andrews' Roman Catholic Church
officiating.
Burial will
take place in the Calvary Cemetery, Butler, PA.
