Bette Anne Beistel

July 1, 1938 - October 21, 2005

Bette Anne Beistel, age 67 of Cherokee Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday, October 21, 2005 at her residence.

Born July 1, 1938 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania she was the son of the late Robert Greenlee and the late Betty Ackerman Greenlee.

Mrs. Beistel was a homemaker. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she was very active, Meals on Wheels, Timberly Heights Bridge Club, Alpha Delta Phi Sorority, and interested in classical guitar music. She was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School, a registered nurse graduating from University of Pittsburgh, Ohio Valley Medical Hospital.

Mrs. Beistel is survived by her husband, David F. Beistel whom she married on April 9, 1960; by three sons, Steven R. Beistel, Gary P. Beistel, and Andrew J. Beistel; eight grandchildren, Joshua D., Alicia, Katie, John, Maggy, Daniel, Evan and Nicholas Beistel; her sister-in-law, Barbara Romney; two nieces, Susan LeCornu, and Kanako Romney; three nephews, David Williams, Eric Romney, and Chris Romney.

Mrs. Beistel was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Mary Jane Williams.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Monday, October 24, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m.

Services will be held at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Curtis McDaniel of Westminster Presbyterian Church in America officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park.
