James C.
Bowser, 72 of Garden Grove Drive, Butler, died at 9:30 p.m. on
Tuesday, October 28, 2003 in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born December 17, 1930 in Renfrew, Pennsylvania, he was the son of
Henry Bowser and Hazel Nicklas.
He worked as a riveter for Pullman Standard Co. Mr. Bowser was a
member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church and a veteran of the U.
S. Army serving in the Korean War.
Mr. Bowser is survived by his wife, Phyllis M. Barnes Bowser whom he
married on December 17, 1954, three sons, William Bowser of Cranberry
Township, Pennsylvania, Gary Bowser of Brackenridge, Pennsylvania,
Larry Bowser of Mobile, Alabama, one daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Linda)
Strella of Butler, Pennsylvania, Six Grandchildren, one brother, Glenn
Bowser of San Angelo, Texas, two sisters, Mrs. Merle (Ruth) Wright of
Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Ted (Joan) Mathias of Harrisville,
Pennsylvania, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was one brother.
There will be no public visitation.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the
family. Interment will follow in Summit United Presbyterian Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124
East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania.
