Mary Lee Blair Brooks
January 20, 1933 ~ July 12, 2017
Mary Lee Blair Brooks, 84, a
resident of Newhaven Court, Butler, PA, passed away
on July 12, 2017, following a long illness.
She was born January 20, 1933
in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Lee W. Hoovler
and the late Mary Mehaffey Hoovler.
Mary Lee graduated from Butler
High School and Muskingum College. She was a member
of Westminster PCA in Butler and was active in the
Tuesday Service Group. Mary Lee enjoyed volunteering
with her husband, Charlie, at Seneca Hills Bible
Conference in Franklin, PA, flower gardening,
sewing, camping, and the company of her pets
throughout the years.
She is survived by her three
daughters, Linda Johnson and her husband Keith of
Kittanning, PA, Laura Jordan and her husband Mark of
Butler, PA, and Ann Young and her husband Ron of
West Sunbury, PA; one son, Samuel Blair and his wife
Tannis of Gibsonia, PA; eight grandchildren; and ten
In addition to her parents,
she was preceded in death by her first husband,
Charles J. Blair, whom she married on August 7, 1954
and who passed away on April 25, 2000; her second
husband, John L. Brooks, whom she married on July 9,
2005 and who passed away on December 21, 2007; and
her brother, Lee W. Hoovler, Jr.
Friends and Family of Mary Lee
are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, July
22, 2017, 11:00 am at the Westminster Presbyterian
Church in America, 420 North Main Street Butler, PA,
with Pastor Daniel Ledford, officiating; assisted by
Mary Lee's son, Sam Blair.
Private Burial will take place
in the Butler County Memorial Park.
Arrangements are being handled
by Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North
St., Butler, PA.
