John Dean Clark
Sr., 90, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on
Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at his residence .
He was born
March 31, 1926 in East Butler, Pennsylvania to the late
John F Clark and Edna M. Wolf Clark.
Mr. Clark was
owner and operator of John D. Clark Trucking retiring in
1995. He was World War II veteran of the United States
Navy serving Phillipines. Mr. Clark was a member of the
American Legion Post #778. He enjoyed camping,
woodworking, card playing and dancing. He was member of
East Butler Presbyterian Church and life member of the
East Butler Firemen's Club.
He is survived
by four sons, John (Jack) D. Clark, Jr and his wife
Diane of Grove City, PA, Earl (George) W Clark and his
wife Carolyn of Butler, PA, Bruce E. Clark and his wife
Cathy of Butler, PA, and Douglas L. Clark and his wife
Beatrice (Toni) of Butler, PA; one daughter, Sheila A.
Hartle and her husband Dave of Butler, PA; fifteen
grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and five
great great grandchildren; and several nieces and
In addition to
his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife,
Esther Virginia Clark whom she married on July 17, 1946
and who passed away on June 8, 2008', three brothers,
Charles (Ag) Clark, Richard Clark, and Wayne Clark, and
one sister, Mary Miller.
Friends will be
March 2, 2017, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm
at Thompson - Miller
Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on
Friday, March 3, 2017, at 11:00 am at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St.
Butler, PA, with Reverend Mary J. Kitchen, officiating.
Burial will take place in the
North Butler Cemetery of Oakland Township.
