Karen R. Clever, age 59 of South
Woodlawn Lane, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, December 17,
2005 at 11:50 p.m. at her residence.
Born October 22, 1946 in Greenville,
Pennsylvania she was the daughter of David L. Anderson and the late
Helen Bollenbacher.
Mrs. Clever was a member of Meridian
U. P. Church and a former member of Hill U. P. Church. She taught
Sunday school and vacation bible school. She graduated from
Greenville High School in 1964 and was an alumni of Edinboro State
College, class of 1968. Mrs. Clever had been a schoolteacher at the
Easter Seal School in Hickory, Pennsylvania. She also taught first
grade for the Butler Area School district at the former Lyndora
school and was a substitute teacher for many years. Mrs. Clever was
a Girl Scout leader trainer for Keystone Tall Tree Girl Scout
Council and a Girl Scout leader of Troop #431. She was a former
member of the Junior Women's Club and was a past chairman of the
Hollyberry. She enjoyed doing genealogy, making crafts, sewing,
nature, her cats and most of all the time with family and friends.
Mrs. Clever is survived by her
husband, Dennis E. Clever whom she married on August 22, 1969, a
son, Matthew Clever of Reisterstown, Maryland; a daughter, Mrs. Eric
(Laura) Greco of Imperial, Pennsylvania; her father, David L. and
his wife Martha Anderson of Greenville, Pennsylvania; a sister,
Rebecca Bidlack of Jacksonville, Florida; two nieces and one nephew.
Mrs. Clever was preceded in death by
her mother.
A Memorial Services will be held at
the Meridian United Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, December 21,
2005 at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Stephen N. Cahoon of Meridian United
Presbyterian Church officiating.
