Franklin E. Crawford

November 26, 1934 - August 14, 2005
 

Franklin E. Crawford, age 70 of Virginia Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, August 14, 2005 at 2:15 p.m. in the Butler VA Medical Center. 

Born November 26, 1934 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Thomas A. Crawford and the late Helen Schrobel. 

Mr. Crawford was a retired painter for Butler Veterans Administration Medical Center.  He was protestant by faith.  Mr. Crawford was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and Korean War.  He was past president of the General Butler Vagabonds Auxiliary.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge #64, Masonic Lodge #272 F & AM, A.A.S.R. Valley of New Castle, and V.F.W. Post #249, Butler. 

Mr. Crawford is survived by his wife, Helen Lowry Crawford whom he married on May 12, 1956, by one son, Robert T. Crawford of Connoquenessing, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Susan Crede of Butler, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, four sisters, Marie Miller, Betty Cipolla, Joan Fend all of Butler, Pennsylvania, Joyce Norman of Tampa, Florida and by a number of nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by one brother. 

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. 

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Henry B. Hall, Jr., chief of chaplains at the VA Medical Center officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates. 

Officers and members of the Masonic Lodge #272 will meet Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home to conduct a memorial service.  Military Honors will be conducted at Greenlawn Burial Estates by V.F.W. Post #249.
