Marshall B. Cumberland Obituary (1941 - 2020)

Marshall B. Cumberland, 78, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at his residence. He was born September 19, 1941 in Butler, Pennsylvania formerly of Findley, OH to the late Ray B. Cumberland and the late Pauline (Stevenson) Cumberland. Marshall worked for the Steam Fitter Local 356, 47, 449 and retired in 2004. He was a member of Hannahstown Baptist Church, then drove truck after retirement. Marshall was a member of the his church choir in Findley, OH. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, reading his bible and studying the word of God. He is survived by his fiance, Elizabeth Hoffman of Butler, PA; two daughters, Michele (William) Carboni of Fombell, PA,and Carrie Wilson and her companion La Moine Leech of Fenelton, PA; one son, Ray B.(Mandy) Cumberland II of Saxonburg, PA; eight grandchildren, Jason Geibel, Meagan Bailey, Joshua Hall, Bethany Hall, Kayla Hall, Jacob Shewalter, Drayke Cumberland, Rider Dalton; ten great grandchildren; four sisters, Diane Hortert of Butler, PA, Sharon Pengryn of Butler, PA, Raylene Bachman of VA, and Robin Cumberland; three brothers, Garry Cumberland of Butler, PA, Terry Cumberland of WVA, and Mark Cumberland of Butler, PA; number nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Connie Cumberland; one sister, Janet Lepley; two nieces, and one nephew. There will be no public visitation as per the state and federal mandate regarding no more than 10 at a public gathering. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020, at 1:00 pm at the Butler County Memorial Park, 380 Evans City Road Butler, PA, with Reverend Mark Wagner, and Reverend Terry Cumberland, officiating. Thompson-Miller Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.
