| Gertrude S. "Trudy" Davey,
age 93 formerly of Terrace Apartments and Lumar Village, Butler,
Pennsylvania, died Sunday, November 21, 2004 at 1:30 a.m. in the
Lowrie House. Born May 16, 1911 in Bruin, Pennsylvania she was
the daughter of the late Isaac Charles Say and the late Lucy May
Stevenson.
Gertrude Davey retired in 1976 as a teacher for Parker Township
schools at Eldorado, Karns City School District after consolidation of
Karns City and Chicora. She attended St. Andrew's United Presbyterian
Church, was an alumnus of Slippery Rock Normal School and she enjoyed
reading.
Gertrude Davey is survived by one son, John C. Davey
of Butler, Pennsylvania.
Gertrude Davey was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc.,
124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, November 23,
2004 from 3 to 6 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc.
on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. with Reverend James R.
Mohr, II, the campus chaplain at Westminster College officiating.
Entombment will follow in Chapel of Devotion at Butler Memorial Park. |
