Mary J. Davidson

February 25, 1917 - September 21, 2005

Mary J. Davidson, 88 of Butler died on Wednesday, September 21st, 2005.  Born on February 25, 1917 in Argentine, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna Hudosky Leonard. 

Mrs. Davidson retired from the Social Security Department, Boyers, Pennsylvania after seven years employment.  She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and the Artist Association of Butler. 

Her husband John E. (Bonnie) Davidson whom she married on June 9, 1945 in Butler precedes her in death.  She is survived by a stepdaughter and was a step-grandmother to thirteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.  Preceding her in death were three step-children, two sisters, one brother and three half brothers. 

At Mrs. Davidson’s request there will be no visitation.  A mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church on Friday, September 23, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. 

Burial will follow at the West Sunbury Union Cemetery. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Butler Public Library, 218 North McKean Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 or to the American Cancer Society, Butler County Unit, Post Office Box 3014, Butler, Pennsylvania 16003-3014.
