Dorothy J. "Dottie" Eberhardt, 90 formerly Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 8:40 a.m. at Cranberry Place, Cranberry Twp., Pennsylvania.

Born May 11, 1925 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Harry Clossin and the late Helena Bender Clossin.

Mrs. Eberhardt was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the Presbyterian School of Nursing in Pittsburgh with her degree as a registered nurse. Mrs. Eberhardt had worked at the VA Medical Center in Butler as a nurse and at Butler Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Presbyterian Hospital Nurse's Alumni Association and the AARP. Mrs. Eberhardt enjoyed gardening and ceramics and puzzles.

Mrs. Eberhardt is survived by two sons, George Eberhardt, II and his wife Cathy of Louisville, Kentucky, Paul D. Eberhardt and his wife Martha of Wexford, Pennsylvania; by two grandsons, Keith Eberhardt and his wife Catina of Louisville, Kevin Eberhardt and his wife Linda of Campbellsville, KY; one granddaughter, Christy Runyan and her husband Brian of Louisville; five great-grandchildren, Kaden Eberhardt, Christian Eberhardt, Dylan Eberhardt, Bradley James Eberhardt and Easton Runyan; and by three nieces and four nephews.

Mrs. Eberhardt was preceded in death by her husband George D. "Ebbie" Eberhardt whom she married on April 12, 1947 and passed away on December 4, 2008; one sister, and one nephew.

Friends will be received Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church Worship Site in Lyndora, 303 Penn Avenue, Lyndora, PA 16045 on with Rev. James Murphy officiating.

Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Presbyterian-University Hospital Nurses Alumnae Association (PUHNAA), C/O Treasurer: Lynn Plusa, 4647 Doverdell Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236-1866.
