David R. Emery, Sr., 69
of West Patterson Avenue, Butler, died Saturday, October 2, 2004 at
Cape Fear Valley Health System in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Born August 15, 1935 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of
Jack Emery and Irene Wynkoop.
Mr. Emery worked a retired painter for Pullman Standard. He was a
member of Butler Wesleyan Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.
S. Army and the Korean conflict.
Mr. Emery is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mark (Susan) Schuler of
Butler, Pennsylvania, two sons, Mr. David Emery, Jr. of Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, Mr. Michael Emery of Butler, Pennsylvania, nine
grandchildren, one brother, Harry C. Emery of New Galilee,
Pennsylvania, two sisters, Mrs. Jean Brown of Butler, Pennsylvania,
Mrs. Dot Porter of Greenville, Pennsylvania, and by a number of nieces
and nephews.
Mr. Emery was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Centorcelli
Emery, who passed away on December 29, 1999 and by two sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc.,
124 East North Street, Butler, PA, on Tuesday, October 5, 2004 from 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Butler Wesleyan Methodist Church,
Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. with Reverend James A. Lynn
Officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
