Falls, age 92 of Quinn Orchard Road, Frederick, Maryland, died
Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at 2:00 a.m. at Frederick Memorial Hospital,
Frederick, Maryland. Born June
28, 1913 in Baltimore, Maryland he was the son of the late Burford O.
Falls and the late Marie Schubert.
Mr. Falls was an Assistant General
Manager for the United States Housing Authority. Following that he
worked for the Pittsburgh Housing Authority in various administrative
positions. He was a member of Gospel Fellowship Presbyterian Church in
America, Valencia, Pennsylvania and had been active in his church. He
was a former member of the Lion's Club. He was instrumental in the
development of the city Green Belt, Maryland during the Franklin
Roosevelt presidency.
Mr. Falls is survived by one son, David
A. Falls of New Bern, North Carolina; three daughters, Mrs. Hubert
(Janet) Voltz of Butler, Pennsylvania, Gail Falls of Marin County,
California, Donna Tocco of Gaithersburg, Maryland; nine grandchildren,
and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Mr. Falls was preceded in death by his
first wife, Ruth E. Anderson Falls, his second wife Violet E. Falls
who passed away on January 20, 1994, by a brother and a sister.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Saturday, August 13, 2005 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson -
Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at 11:00 a.m.
with Reverend Nick Protos from Gospel Fellowship Presbyterian Church
in America, Valencia, Pennsylvania and Reverend Earl Fair, interim
pastor at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in America officiating.
Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. |
