"Raleigh" Fox, 83, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed
away on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Concordia Lutheran
He was born
March 4, 1935 in Perry Township, Pennsylvania to the
late Herman D. Fox and the late Elsie L. Wile Fox.
a long time Barber and Manager of the Fox's Barber
Shop. He was a member of Meridian Presbyterian
Church, the Meridian Vets Club, Lifetime member of
the Butler Hunting and Fishing Club, National Rifle
Association, the #520 Canby Lodge F and AM of St.
Petersburg, PA, and the A.A.S.R. Valley of New
Castle. Raleigh was a veteran of the United States
Army where he served as a Staff Sgt.. He enjoyed
hunting, collecting unusual safety razors, and
spending time with his family.
survived by his loving wife, Shirley L. Fox, whom he
married on June 28, 1958; son, David D. Fox and his
wife Rebecca of Butler, PA; two daughters, Jayanne
L. Cook and her husband Eric of Grand Rapids, MI,
and Marlene R. Welch and her husband John of
Indiana, PA; twelve grandchildren, Jordan, Caleb,
Seth and his wife Lydia, and Ethan Cook. Nolan and
his wife Bethany, Allison, and Evaline Fox. Emma,
Laura, Jack, Sara, and Johanna Welch. Sister, Mabel
H. Bryant of Sligo, PA; and a number of nieces and
to his parents he was preceded in death by one
sister and three brothers.
Visitation will be held at Meridian Presbyterian
Highland Avenue Butler, PA,
from 10 to 11 am on Saturday, May 26, 2018.
Funeral services will be held
immediately following at 11 am with his son-in-law,
Pastor Eric Cook, officiating.
Burial will take place in the
St John's Reformed Church Cemetery.
In lieu of
