Gretchen Freeze

Gretchen Freeze, age 88, of Broad Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at 3:40 a.m. at her residence.

Born November 7, 1917 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Clair and Bess Frye Brunermer.

Mrs. Freeze was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church. She also belonged to the Butler Women's Club, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Seventeeners Club. She was a life member of Tanglewood Senior Center.

Mrs. Freeze is survived by her son, Ronald J. and his wife, Carol Freeze of Butler, Pennsylvania; her two grandchildren, Julie Carolyn Freeze and Andrew James Freeze; two sisters, Mrs. Gene (Marjorie) O'Donnell and Mrs. Robert (Vivian) Logan both of Springdale, Pennsylvania; three brothers, Carl Brunermer of Butler, Pennsylvania, Robert Brunermer of Apollo, Pennsylvania and Richard Brunermer of Venice, Florida, and by a number of nieces and nephews.

Her husband, James E. Freeze, who was deceased July 22, 1985, preceded Mrs. Freeze in death.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, September 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend J. David Panther, pastor of her church, officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum of Butler County Memorial Park.
