Mary E. Gallagher

April 12, 1921 - November 16, 2005

Mary E. Gallagher, of East Penn Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at 8:20 p.m. at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born April 12, 1921 in Carbon Center, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Stanley and Mildred Liwoski Weichey.

She was a homemaker and a member of St Paul Roman Catholic Church.

Mrs. Gallagher is survived by her husband, Walter J. Gallagher, whom she married February 24, 1941; her two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Stepp and Mrs. Kenneth (Nancy) Collier, Jr. both of Butler, Pennsylvania; her two grandchildren, Tiffany, and her husband, Jonathan Valentino and Brian, and his wife, Kimberly Collier both of Chicora, Pennsylvania; her two great- granddaughters, Isabella Mary Valentino and Amelia Valentino; her four brothers, George W.and Edward N. Weichey of both of Butler, Pennsylvania, Carl Weichey of Fenelton, Pennsylvania, and Chester Weichey, of Georgia; and number of nieces and nephews.

Two sisters and six brothers preceded Mrs. Gallagher in death.

There will be no public visitation.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurses Association, 154 Hindman Road Butler, Pennsylvania 16001.

Members of the St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:35 a.m. Saturday at the church to recite the rosary.
