Eva
Truman Gold, age 98, formerly of Butler, Pennsylvania and a resident
for the past eight years at Country Meadows in Bridgeville,
Pennsylvania, died Friday, September 2, 2005 at 4:00 a.m. at Country
Meadows.Born December 8, 1906 in Butler,
Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Joseph Frank and Myrtle Mae
Johnston Truman.
Mrs. Gold was a 1924 graduate of Butler High
School and a 1928 graduate of Muskingum College. She was a member of
St Andrew's United Presbyterian Church in Butler, Pennsylvania where
she had been a Sunday school teacher for many years, a former deacon
and had been a member of the session.
Mrs. Gold was a homemaker.
Mrs. Gold is survived by her two daughters, Mrs.
John R. (Doris) Gottschall of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Janet Gold
of Denver of Denver, Colorado; two grandsons; her brother, Lee Truman
of Indianapolis, Indiana and by her six nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Fred N. Gold, who she married on
June 12, 1930 and was deceased on November 2, 1985, and by one brother
and two sisters, preceded Mrs. Gold in death.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller
Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on
Tuesday, September 6, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller
Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with
Reverend Dennis Molnar, of The Wallace Memorial Presbyterian Church,
officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
