Heidenreich, 76, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed
away on Monday, May 4, 2020 at the Butler Memorial
Hospital, where he fought a courageous battle with
He was born April 26, 1944 in Butler, Pennsylvania
to the late Willard R. Heidenreich and the late
Agnes Shimmel Heidenreich.
William worked for Pullman Standard in the Paint
Shop for 25 years, he then worked at the VA retiring
in 2006 as a carpenter. William built model trains,
enjoyed fishing, hunting.and woodworking, and also
was a multi talented handy man. He especially loved
his children and grandchildren. William was a
veteran of the United States Army serving in the
Vietnam Era. He was a member of Homeacre Chapel.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Minehart
Heidenreich whom he married on August 7, 1965, two
sons, William J (Carrie) Heidenreich of Chicora, PA,
and David A. (Becky) Heidenreich of Butler, PA; one
daughter, Carole (Jason) Sholes of Slippery Rock PA;
six grandchildren, Jay and Heather Sholes, Anna,
Lora,and Daniel Heidenreich and Brandon Bowline; one
brother, Thomas Heidenreich of Meridian, PA; several
nieces and nephews.
Due to the many restrictions imposed because of the
Coronavius there will be no public visitation.
A private service was held with Reverend David L.
Fisher of Homeacre Chapel, officiating.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Private burial took place in the Butler County
