Katelyn A. Henderson Obituary (1959 - 2020)

Katelyn A. Henderson, 61, of Butler, PA, Center Township died Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler, PA. She was born February 16, 1959, in Newark, OH to Charles and Rietta Henderson. She attended primary and secondary school in Granville, OH and high school in New Wilmington, PA. After graduating from Wilmington Area High School in 1977, she worked as a welder for Wilmington Steel. Katie returned to complete an Associate's Degree in Biology at Penn State - Shenango while working at Quest Diagnostics in Greentree as an instrument analyst. She was qualified to operate most of the testing instruments and was especially gifted at troubleshooting malfunctions and solving problems. She was skilled at woodworking and had a life-long interest in hand-made wooden puzzles as well as other puzzles and games of logic. She is survived by her mother, Rietta Henderson; her sister, Virginia Justiniano; four brothers, Larry, Wayne, Craig and Keith Henderson and their families. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Henderson. There will not be a public visitation and the burial in the Evans City Cemetery is private.
