Hoffman, age 59, of Morton Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died
Thursday, August 25, 2005 at 5:10 p.m. in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born August 30, 1945 in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania he was the son of Floyd C. and M. Jean Beltz Hoffman.
Mr. Hoffman was Protestant by faith.
He worked for the Liquor Control Board
and retired May 17, 1996 after 26 years of service. He was a member of
Joseph T. Black Post #249 V.F.W., a member of the American Legion Post
#117, a member of the Slovak Club, and he was a member of the National
Rifle Association. Mr. Hoffman was a veteran of the United States Navy
serving in Vietnam on the USS Ticonderoga (CVA-14).
Mr. Hoffman is survived by his wife,
Sandra Bash Hoffman, who he married on November 1, 1980; his daughter,
Teri Jean Hoffman of Butler, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren; his
mother, Mrs. William (Jean) Stutz of Butler, Pennsylvania; his sister,
Mrs. Robert (Georgean) Abels of Churchville, New York; his brother,
Mark and his wife Judy Hoffman of Butler, Pennsylvania and by three
nieces.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Sunday, August 28, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Services will be held at the Thompson -
Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday, August 29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m.
with lay minister, Ginger DiTullio, officiating. Interment will follow
in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
The V.F.W. Post #249 will conduct
military honors at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
