John F. Ihlenfeld

January 10, 1952 - September 27, 2005

John F. "Johnny I." Ihlenfeld, age 53 of Home Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died suddenly Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at 12:30 a.m. at his residence.

Born January 10, 1952 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late John V. Ihlenfeld and the late Dorothy E. Rice Ihlenfeld.

Mr. Ihlenfeld was a retired grinder for AK Steel. He was a member of Church of the Nazarene, Butler, Pennsylvania. Mr. Ihlenfeld was a member of the American Legion Post #778, he attended Butler High School and the Lincoln Welding School.

Mr. Ihlenfeld is survived by his wife, Kandice (Keown) Ihlenfeld whom he married on July 31, 1971, by one daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Heather) Osmer of Bloomville, Ohio; one son, John V. Ihlenfeld of Butler, Pennsylvania; one grandson; one sister, Sara Jane Reisinger of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania; three brothers, Joe Ihlenfeld, Judd Ihlenfeld, and Herbert Schmeider all of Butler, Pennsylvania.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Robert B. Calhoon officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
