Dorothy E. Jones

January 10, 1912 - October 10, 2003

Dorothy E. Jones, 91 of North Main Street, Butler, died Friday, October 10, 2003 at 8:05 a.m. in Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born January 10, 1912 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of John Herbert Stevenson and Mary May Klingensmith.

She and her husband worked as a manager and housekeeper for Clearview Farms for 50 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and at one time was on the Altar Committee. Mrs. Jones delivered Meals-on-wheels for 13 years, she was a member of Tanglewood Senior Center and enjoyed playing cards.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Brewster of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, Mrs. George (Shirley) Matuke and Marilynn Bodesheim both of Butler, Pennsylvania, Eight Grandchildren, Fourteen Great-Grandchildren, Two Great-Great-Grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jones married Edward S. Jones September 14, 1932 he preceded her in death on July 22, 1983. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, October 12, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Monday, October 13, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Thomas Pierotti officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
