Andrew E. "Gump" Kamerer, Sr., age 71 of Cliff Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, September 10, 2005 at 2:05 p.m. in the Butler V A Medical Center.

Born August 27, 1934 in Greece City, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late David Edward Kamerer and the late Bertha Rose Bowser.

Mr. Kamerer was a meat cutter for Miller's Quality Meats. He was Protestant by faith. Mr. Kamerer was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War.

Mr. Kamerer is survived by one son, Andrew E. Kamerer, Jr. of Butler, Pennsylvania; daughter, Gwen Atkinson of Butler, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Ida (Peg) Smith of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Naomi (Rose) Thompson of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Dorothy (Janie) Caldwell of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Ann Margaret Boyd of Ravenna, Ohio; two brothers, Frank Kamerer of Grove City, Pennsylvania, and Thomas Kamerer of Butler, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Kamerer was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Robert Calhoon officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
