Elizabeth J. Kamerer, 91, of
Butler, PA passed away on August 6, 2011 at 12:20 p.m. at the
Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 14, 1920 in Titusville,
PA to the late Truman Dunkle and Nina Nixon Dunkle.
She was a member of Hill United
Presbyterian Church. She was trained as a nurse but devoted her
life to her family. She was an Elder at her church. Mrs. Kamerer
golfed in many women's leagues at Armco Country Club and was a
member of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Kamerer is survived by five sons:
John Kamerer of Gettysburg, PA, Jim and his wife Barbara Kamerer
of Butler, PA, George and his wife Pam Kamerer of Greensburg,
PA, Tom and his wife Anne Kamerer of Butler, PA, Dave and his
wife Mary Jane Kamerer of Cincinnati, OH; one daughter, Rebecca
Bayne of Butler, PA, twelve grandchildren, Carrie, Anne, Susan,
Stephanie, Jared, Sean, Duncan, Nolan, Zach, Chris, Tom and
Sarah; three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her husband, Richard Kamerer whom she
married on August 7, 1941 and who passed away on July 16, 1985
and also by one sister, Martha August.
Friends will be received at Thompson -
Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. on
Tuesday, August 9, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on
Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thompson-Miller
Funeral Home, Inc.with Reverend Clark Sawyer of Hill United
Presbyterian Church officiating.
Burial will take place in the Greenlawn
Burial Estates.
