Martha Jane Kellar Keasey, 87, of Butler,
Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, December 29,
2016 at 9:15 am the Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 12, 1929 in Nixon,
Pennsylvania to the late Newton D. Kellar and Edna
M. Walters Kellar.
Martha was a 1947 graduate of Butler High
School. She worked as an Office Clerk at Magnetics
and later at Spang and Company. Martha was a member
of the Order of the Eastern Star Butler Chapter 45.
She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Martha was a loving mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, cooking
and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by one son, David J. Keasey
and his wife Maria Stephenson of Butler, PA; two
granddaughters, Jennifer Keasey Young and her
husband Adam of Chandler, AZ, Amanda Keasey Johnson
and her husband Nathan of Phoenix, AZ; two great
grandsons, Broderick Moore and Trent Moore; one
brother, Mark Kellar of The Villages, FL; one
sister, Eleanor Kennedy of Butler, PA; several
nieces and nephews; and her loving companion, Robert
H. Heaton and his daughter Leanne of Butler, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her husband, John Melvin Keasey whom she
married on June 8, 1949 and who passed away on May
15, 2012; and one daughter, Karen Lynn Keasey.
Friends will be received Sunday, January 1,
2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at
Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North
Street, Butler, PA. Funeral services will be
held immediately following at 8:00 pm with Reverend
Dr. James Swanson, of Covenant Presbyterian Church
Burial will take place in the
Butler County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be
made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 East
Jefferson Street, Butler, PA 16001.
