Florence Lucille Klingensmith, 96, of Butler, PA
passed away on August 30, 2011 at 10:20 a.m. in
the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born February 2, 1915 in Oakland
Township, Pennsylvania to the late Arthur Isaac
Zimmerman and Edna Ethel (Moore) Zimmerman.
Mrs. Klingensmith was a member of New
Beginnings Free Methodist Church. She was a
member of the Unionville Fire Department Ladies
Auxiliary and enjoyed going to Tanglewood. Mrs.
Klingensmith loved to travel, gardening and
spending time with her family.
Mrs. Klingensmith is survived by one son,
Raymond B. Klingensmith of Butler, PA; one
daughter, Joyce Hammond of Butler, PA; ten
grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren;
seven great-great-grandchildren; one sister,
Martha Heath of Grove City, PA and several
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her husband, Sylvester Klingensmith,
whom she married on May 21, 1934 and who passed away
on September 8, 1986; one daughter,
Carol June; and one brother, Ray Zimmerman.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday,
September 3, 2011 at 4:00 pm at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East
North St. Butler, PA, with Reverend Matthew
Perkins of New Beginnings Free Methodist Church,
officiating.
Burial will take place in the
Riverview Cemetery in Apollo, PA.
