Arthur N. Kloker, Jr. Obituary (1941 - 2018)

Arthur N Kloker, Jr. passed away peacefully at home Sunday, December 30th at the age of 77. He was born October 1, 1941 to the late Arthur N. Kloker, Sr. and the late Marie Fleming Buchanan. Art grew up in Karns City, Pa. He also lived in Cleveland, Ohio for many years. Art had a successful lifelong career in the grocery industry, starting with Domino Markets in Chicora, PA, moving on to Friedman's Supermarket, Golden Dawn Foods, Seaway Foods, up until his retirement in 2016 working as the Advertising Director with Bi-Rite Supermarkets in Cleveland, OH. Art loved spending time with his family and friends. His many hobbies included golfing, bowling, target shooting with his son, and riding his Harley with his brother and friends. Art was a very talented woodworker. He loved to socialize and there was always a good time to be had when he was around. He will be lovingly remembered forever by his surviving children, Natalie (Alan) Franko, Dori (Serban) Chitu, Shawn Kloker, Kourtney (Clint)Walker, his former wife Dorothy R. Thomas (mother of his children and lifelong friend), grandchildren; Kiara (Nathan) Oesterling, Kaelee (Ryan) Condello, Evan Bauer, Dylan Bauer, Shawn Kloker, Jr., Bono Chitu, and Maya Chitu, and great grandson Axel Oesterling.Art is also survived by his brothers, Nelson Kloker, Harold Buchanan, Wayne Buchanan, and sisters, Rosemary Leighton and Linda Fultz. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 221W. New Castle Street, Butler, PA at 11:00 a.m. This celebration is open to the public. Memorials donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or any charity of your choice.
