John G. "Red" Landkrohn

July 2, 1921 - December 8, 2003
 

John George " Red " Landkrohn, age 82 of West Old Route 422, Butler, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, December 8, 2003 at 3:30 p.m. at Sunnyview Nursing Home, Butler, Pennsylvania

Born July 2, 1921 in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late George Charles Landkrohn and Winifred Lois (Evans) Landkrohn.

He worked as a Welder for Westinghouse Atomic Power (Bettis Site) West Mifflin, Pennsylvania retiring on November 17, 1982. He was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church in Prosperity, Pennsylvania, McKeesport Lodge No. 641, F. & A.M., and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in WW II.

Mr. Landkrohn is survived by his wife, Gertrude M. Sloane Landkrohn, whom he married January 11, 1942, two sons, Robert Landkrohn of Ruffsdale, Pennsylvania, Kevin Landkrohn of Rockville, Maryland, one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Karen) Hillman of Butler, Pennsylvania, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

There will be no public visitation or funeral service.
