Lawrence R. Leasure, 62, of, Butler
passed away peacefully on July 1, 2011 at 12:15 a.m. in
the Butler VA Medical Center.
He was born November 24, 1948 in New Castle,
Pennsylvania to the late Paul W. Leasure and Grace Naomi
(Parish) Leasure.
Mr. Leasure was a mail carrier for the United
States Post office in Butler retiring after 30 years of
service. He was a 1966 graduate from Butler High School.
Mr. Leasure was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in
the United States Army. He was a member of the American
Legion #117, Italian and Elks Clubs. Mr. Leasure enjoyed
golf, bowling, watching sports and making everyone
laugh.
Mr. Leasure is survived by the love of his life
Shirley Ann Cammisa; two sons, Matthew Leasure and Brent
Leasure and his wife, Christina both of Columbus, OH;
one brother, Paul Leasure; three sisters, Kathleen
Haunty and her husband, David, Sandra Burke and Joanne
Sullivan and her husband, John and also by a number of
nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in
death by his brother, Gary Leasure.
Friends will be received at Thompson - Miller
Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. on
Sunday, July 3, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorial services
will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Patricia Nelson of
First United Methodist Church, officiating.
