Katharine Knepp Liddle

January 7, 1914- July 23, 2004

 

Katharine Knepp Liddle, 90 of Butler, formerly of the Arbors Apartments on Lincoln Avenue, died Friday morning, July 23, 2004 in Sunnyview Home.

Born January 7, 1914 in Curwensville, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Ira James Knepp and Rilla Johnston Knepp.

Mrs. Liddle was a member of Calvary Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her son, Reverend James (Jim) M. Liddle of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, her daughter, Mrs. Charles (Lynn) Strobel of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, a sister, Twila (Toddy) Mathieson of Florida, a brother, Bo Knepp of Georgia, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Leonard J. Liddle, who was deceased on August 24, 1970, and nine brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, on Monday July 26, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday July 27, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. with her son, Reverend James M. Liddle of Mt. Troy United Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Crest Cemetery in Clearfield, Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Liddle's family suggests memorial donations be made to United Cerebral Palsy of Pittsburgh, 4638 Centre Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
