Cheri Lynn Mazzanti

August 3, 1946 - November 25, 2004
 

Cheri Lynn Mazzanti, age 58 of Euclid Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, November 25, 2004 at 5:15 a.m. at her residence after a four-year battle with cancer.

Born August 3, 1946 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Joseph Leslie Shields and the late Elizabeth Romack.

Mrs. Mazzanti was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was employed at the Wishing Well Shop now known as the Hello Shop in Pullman Square. Mrs. Mazzanti was a collector of Snow Babies and Hallmark ornaments.

Anyone who knew her says she touched their lives through church, her friends and through work. She was a wonderful caring woman, the best mom and wife, a loving sister, daughter, aunt and niece.

Mrs. Mazzanti is survived by her husband, George A. Mazzanti, Jr. of Butler, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Todd (Dannjean) Colley and a son, Mr. and Mrs. Justin (Jessica) Mazzanti both of Butler; two grandchildren, Katelyn and Brady Mazzanti; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Shields of Butler, five sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Stan (Sandra) Nych of New Castle, Pennsylvania, Mr. and Mrs. Bif (Coleen) Guest of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Beverly J. Shields of Butler, Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Dawn) Matthews of Butler and Mr. and Mrs. Jay (Faith) Barber of Butler; her inlaws, Mr. and Mrs. George A. (Betty) Mazzanti, Sr. also of Butler; and a sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lenny (Diana) Zirnsak of Butler and a number of nieces and nephews..

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, November 26, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church Saturday, November 27, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend David Maitland officiating. Interment will follow in North Side Cemetery.
