Born Monday, March 2, 1903 in Jefferson Township she was the daughter of the late Charles Bachman and the late Emma Montag.

Mrs. McCandless was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church; she belonged to the Women of the church and the Friendly Bible class.

Mrs. McCandless is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Anita Gamberoni of Butler, Pennsylvania, Ms. Patricia McCandless of Newhall, California; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Ms. Frieda Bachman and Ms. Alma Bachman both of Cabot, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McCandless was preceded in death by her husband, Milton B. McCandless who passed away on November 27, 1985 and by two sisters and five brothers.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, November 7, 2004 from 12 noon to 3 p.m.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Philip Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
