Herbert E. McConnell, 94, of
Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 10, 2011 at 4:24 p.m.
in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 3, 1917 in
Paintertown, Pennsylvania to the late Earl McConnell and Blanche
Brown McConnell.
Mr. Mc Connell was a member of North
Street Christian Church. He was a veteran of the United States
Army serving in World War II as a Master Sergeant in Africa,
Italy, Germany and France. Mr. McConnell was a member of the
Butler Elks Lodge # 170 and the VFW #249.
Mr. McConnell is survived by one son, Jack
and his wife Veronica McConnell of Butler, PA; one daughter,
Norma Jean and her husband, Don Martin of Fortworth, TX; two
grandchildren, five nieces and two nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded
in death by his wife, Thelma Jean McConnell who he married on
June 13, 1940 and who passed away on August 10, 2004 and also by
one sister and two brothers.

Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. on
Monday June 13,2011 From 6:00 to 9:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday
June 14,2011 at 2:30 P.M. at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home
Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Pastor Robert C. Huber
of North Street Christian Church officiating.
Entombment will follow in the Chapel of
All Faiths Mausoleum in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
Officer and members of the American Legion
Post #778 Lyndora and the VFW Post #249 will conduct military
services at the Chapel of All Faiths Mausoleum at Greenlawn
Burial Estates.
