Thelma J. McConnell

Thelma J. McConnell, 83 of 110 Pine Street, Butler, died Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at 12:25 a.m. in Sunnyview Home.

Born December 20, 1920 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Ord and Charlotte Brown.

Mrs. McConnell was a graduate of Butler High School. She was a member of North Street Christian Church. She was a homemaker. Mrs. McConnell was a fifty-year member of the Maqueda Chapter
# 412 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem #32.

Surviving are her husband Herbert McConnell, who she married June 13, 1940, her son, Jack H. McConnell of Connoquenessing, Pennsylvania, her daughter, Mrs. Donald (Norma Jean) Martin of Fort Worth, Texas, two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her one brother.

Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, on Thursday August 12, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Friday July 13, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Robert C. Huber, pastor of her church, officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of All Faiths Mausoleum at Greenlawn Burial Estates.

Members and officers of Maqueda Chapter #421 of The Order of the Eastern Star will assemble at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home to perform Eastern Star memorial services.
