Elva Barton McCormick

May 5, 1910 - October 1, 2004
 

Elva Barton McCormick formerly of Rockenstein Avenue, currently a patient at Sunnyview Home passed away Friday, October 1, 2004 at 7:00 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler, Pennsylvania on May 5, 1911, she was the daughter of the late William G. Raabe and Minnie Sumney Raabe.

Mrs. McCormick was married on July 3, 1930 to Paul Albert Barton he preceded her in death on October 30, 1961. She married her second husband Raymond Paul McCormick on April 8, 1967; he preceded her in death on February 14, 1978.

Mrs. McCormick had been a cafeteria worker for the Butler Area School District. She was a member of the former St. Paul's United Church of Christ, and the Queen Elizabeth Rebekah Lodge #463.

Mrs. McCormick is survived by two sons, Richard W. Barton of Midlothian, Virginia and Robert L. Barton of Queen Creek, Arizona, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several stepchildren and by a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends and family of Elva Barton McCormick will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 on Sunday, October 3, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, October 4, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Greenlawn Burial Estates Mount Chestnut, with the Reverend David West of Christ Outreach Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
