Evelyn K.
McGary, age 78 of Sunnyview Nursing Home formerly of Creek Meadows
Personal Care Home, Zelienople, Pennsylvania, passed away Tuesday,
October 21, 2003 at 5:45 P.M. in Sunnyview Nursing Home.
Born in Arnold, Pennsylvania on March 20,1925, she was the daughter of
the late Laurie Kemerer and Tressa Hartman.
Mrs. McGary was a member of the First United Methodist Church in
Butler. She had served as the church secretary and also had been the
church secretary at North Street Christian Church. She also had served
as the director of the Y-teen group at the Butler YWCA. She also
served as a volunteer at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by one Son: George E. (Butch) McGary III and his wife
Sue of Prospect, Pennsylvania, Three Grandchildren: George E. (B.J.)
McGary IV and his wife Melanie of Prospect, Christopher McGary of Lock
Haven, Pennsylvania and Allison McGary of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,
Two Great-Granddaughters: Morgan & Madison McGary of Prospect,
Pennsylvania and also surviving are several cousins.
Friends and family of Evelyn K. McGary will be received on Thursday,
October 23, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the THOMPSON-MILLER
FUNERAL HOME, INC., 124 EAST NORTH STREET, BUTLER, PENNSYLVANIA.
Funeral services will be from the funeral home on Friday, October 24,
2003 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend James A. Lewis officiating. Interment
will follow in Butler County Memorial Park
