Esther M. Thompson Bowser
McLaughlin, 71, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away
on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 12:38 a.m. at the
VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born March 3, 1943
in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Tony Thompson
and Mary Rose (Deep) Thompson.
In her early years, Esther
worked at Nationwide Insurance Company in Butler,
PA, then worked for American Hardware in East
Butler, where she retired from. She was a member of
the American Legion Post #117 Ladies Auxiliary and
she also enjoyed playing golf.
Esther is survived by her
husband, Eugene J. McLaughlin; one son, David
McLaughlin and his wife Shellie of Butler, PA; one
daughter, Dianna Cuny and her husband Jeffrey of
Cranberry Twp, PA; five grandchildren, Hogan,
Nicklaus, Palmer, Colton and Alyssa; one brother,
Michael Thompson and his wife Becky of Butler, PA;
one niece, Natalie Yost and her husband Ryan of
Washington, PA; one great nephew, Donovan; and one
great niece, Irene.
In addition to her parents,
she was preceded in death by her first husband,
Raymond L. "Bud" Bowser, who passed away on December
7, 1987; and one sister, Geraldine "Gerry" Thompson.
Friends will be received
Wednesday, February 18, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
pm at Thompson - Miller
Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at
11:00 am at the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church,
1660 North Main Street Ext., Butler, PA, with
Rev. Nicholas J. Argentieri of St. Andrew Roman
take place in the North Side Cemetery.
