Dorothy C. Michael, 92,
formerly of Renfrew, Pennsylvania, passed away on
Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 9:30 p.m. in the Evergreen
Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Harmony.
She was born January 23, 1921 in Connoquenessing
Twp., Pennsylvania to the late Milton J. Kaltenbaugh
and Laura (Kramer) Kaltenbaugh.
Mrs. Michael was a graduate of Butler High School
and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John's
Lutheran Church in Connoquenessing. She enjoyed
Bible study, quilting, crafts, gardening and
Mrs. Michael is survived by one son, Terry B.
Michael of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Laura Nicklas
of Butler, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in
death by her parents, her husband William H.
Michael, Jr., whom she married May 28, 1942 and who
passed away August 25, 1990; one son, Donald H.
Michael of Renfrew; four sisters; and six brothers.
Friends will be received on
Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m.
at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124
East North Street, Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 12,
2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Miller Funeral
Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with
Pastor Rev. J. Gary Brown, officiating.
Private burial will take place at the St. John's
Lutheran Cemetery in Connoquenessing following the
