Betty Louise (Gornic) Moore,
89, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 21,
2011 at 9:50 p.m. at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born on August 19, 1922
in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Lewis Z. Moore and
Alta Callen Moore Brown.
Betty was a homemaker and also
worked at the Butler Library, from where she retired in
1986. She enjoyed her pets, crocheting, sewing, and
needlepoint. She also was active in line dancing.
Mrs. Moore is survived two
sons, Melvin Gornic, Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA, and Dennis
Gornic of Albany, NY; one daughter, Sandra Costa of
Butler, PA; four grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Moore and
Thomas Brown, both of Butler, PA; many nieces and
nephews and her cat, Suzie.
In addition to her parents, she
was preceded in death by one sister.
Friends will be received
Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
at
Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North
Street, Butler, PA.
Funeral services
will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011, at 11:00 a.m.
at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East
North Street, Butler, PA, with the Rev. Dr. D.J. Quirin
officiating.
Burial will take place in the
Butler County Memorial Park.
