Steve A. Nemeth, 85, of Lyndora,
Pennsylvania, passed away on May 30, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. at the
Butler VA Medical Center Hospice.
He was born March 9, 1926 in Butler,
Pennsylvania to the late Steve A. Nemeth and Elizabeth Nemeth.
Mr. Nemeth served in the United States
Army in Germany during World War II, earning five medals. He
worked as a Wheel Works & Crane Operator for Armco for 40 years,
retiring in 1984. He enjoyed family, fishing, hunting and
gardening.
Mr. Nemeth is survived by his wife,
Josephine (Marchinoski) Nemeth, who he married January 21, 1950;
two sons, Steven F. Nemeth of Lyndora, PA, Douglas Nemeth and
his wife Linda G. of Butler, PA; three daughters, Linda Duffy
and her husband Dennis of Butler, PA, Darlene Mitchell her
husband, Bill, Terre Gray and her husband, Kevin; fourteen
grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; a number of nieces
and nephews; and his best friends, Pete & Doris Hrip.
In addition to his parents he was preceded
in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Friends will be received
Wednesday, June 01, 2011 7 to 9 p.m.
at Thompson - Miller Funeral
Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday,
June 2, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home
Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Pastor Daniel Ledford
of Westminster Presbyterian Church in America, officiating.
Burial will follow in the
Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may
be made to Butler VA Medical Center Hospice Program, 325 New
Castle Road, Butler, PA 16001.
