Janet L. Nocera, 80, of Butler, PA, passed away on July 10, 2011 at 7:07 p.m. at the ER at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 15, 1931 in East Butler, Pennsylvania to the late R. Harry Thomas and Martha (Gilbert) Thomas.

Mrs. Nocera worked in Quality Control at RCA/GE Astro Space Center in Princeton, NJ for 24 1/2 years retiring in 1993.

Mrs. Nocera is survived by her husband, Leonard Nocera whom she married on March 25, 1950; two daughters, Sandra Nocera and Kathleen Nocera both of Butler, PA; one sister, Sarah and her husband, Donald Bortmas of East Butler, PA; three brothers, Fred Thomas of Connoquenessing, PA, Harry and his wife Sherry Thomas of East Brady, PA and James and his wife Bea Thomas of East Butler, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

There will be no public visitation.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA 16001 with Pastor Dennis L. Krajacic of Community Alliance Church officiating.

Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
