Sara E. (Ippie) O'Donnell,
84, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on April
14, 2014 at 1:05 a.m. at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born September 22,
1929 in Carbon Center, Pennsylvania to the late
Robert J. Morrow and Winora C. (Smith) Morrow.
Sara was a homemaker and a
retired registered nurse. She was a member of the
North Street Christian Church and the Butler
Memorial Hospital Alumnae Association. Sara was also
with the foster grandparent program.
Sara is survived by one
daughter, Mariann Muir and her husband Dennis of
Butler, PA; two sons, Gary Lee O'Donnell and his
wife Judy of Fenelton, PA and James E. O'Donnell and
his wife Debi of Butler, PA; twelve grandchildren;
fifteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Benjamin
A. Morrow and his wife Alice of Butler, PA; and a
number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents,
she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry O.
O'Donnell, whom she married November 17, 1951, and
who passed away July 20, 1981; one son, Harry Jay
O'Donnell; two sisters; and seven brothers.
Friends will be received
Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. at the
Thompson - Miller Funeral Home,
Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday,
April 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the North Street
Christian Church, 220 West North Street Butler, PA,
with Pastor Robert C. Huber, officiating.
Burial will take place in the
Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery.
