Petsinger, age 81 of Fosnight Personal Care Home, Valencia,
Pennsylvania, died Friday, August 12, 2005 at 4:45 p.m. in the
Passavant Retirement Center. Born
November 22, 1923 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of
the late Walter L. Mock and the late Lauren Simmon.
Mrs. Petsinger was a homemaker. She was
a member of Memorial Park Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Petsinger was a
member of P.E.O. Sisterhood, Ikabana, Pittsburgh Garden Center, Bonsai
Society and the Rock Garden Society. Her interest were holistic
medicine, gardening, art, cooking, flower arranging and traveling.
Mrs. Petsinger is survived by one son,
Douglas E. Petsinger of Decatur, Georgia; one grandson, Steven D.
Petsinger of Decatur, Georgia; brother, Walter L. Mock, Jr. of
Montoursville, Pennsylvania; and by three nieces and six nephews.
Mrs. Petsinger was preceded in death by
her husband, Harry M. Petsinger, Jr. who passed away on February 24,
2004.
There will be no public visitation.
Services will be held at the Thompson -
Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at 11:00 a.m.
with Reverend Dr. John Hollingsworth officiating. Interment will be
private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations
may be made to the Scholars and Dollars Program, Cottey College, 1000
