Raymond Dale Rensel 75,
of Alexi Lane, Butler, died Wednesday evening at 7:53 p.m. in the
Emergency Room of the Butler Hospital.
He was born January 13, 1929 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late
Archie and Nora Maxwell Rensel.
Mr. Rensel retired after 41 years as a turn foreman of the Strip
Shears department of Armco. He served on the Pennsylvania Fish
Commission for several years. He was a member of the CB Rangers. He
loved his family and all of nature. He loved bird watching and
listening to country music.
He was a member of St. John's Reformed Church in Meridian.
Mr. Rensel is survived by his wife and best friend of 57 years, Arlene
Eakin Rensel. He was the beloved father of 5 children; Daughter, Ms.
Trina Rensel of Evans City, daughter and son-in-law, Candace and
Jeffrey Johnson of Butler, three sons and daughter-in-laws, Rodney and
Drusilla Rensel, Kim and Chris Rensel and Lonnie and Kelli Rensel all
of Butler. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, five
grandsons, Todd, Chad, Brian and Colin Rensel and Travis Keene, seven
granddaughters, Jennifer Flaugh, Brandi Maser, Lisa Shearer, Amber
Goldstein, Megan Eshenbaugh, Kelly Johnson and Emily Rensel, and seven
great-grandchildren. In addition, Mr. Rensel is survived by one
sister, Mrs. Robert (Judy) Winrader of Butler.
Mr. Rensel was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers and an
infant grandson.
Friends and Family of Raymond Rensel will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania 16001 on Friday, August 27, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Funeral services will be from the funeral home on Saturday,
August 28, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Dr. Robert C. Peterson
of St John's Reformed Church officiating. Interment will follow in The
Greenlawn Burial Estates Mt. Chestnut
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Johns
Reformed Church, Meridian Station, Box 30, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001
