Dorothy E. Shanor

October 16, 1921 - September 11, 2003

 Dorothy E. Shanor, 81 formerly of West Wayne Street in Butler, died Thursday, September 11, 2003 in Worthington at Adams, in Mars, Pennsylvania.

Born October 16, 1921 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Herman Henry Graff and Gussie Risch.

She was a homemaker. Mrs. Shanor was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Butler.

Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn D. Shanor of Butler, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Joseph (Harriet) Marchitelli of Apollo, Pennsylvania, two sons, Gerald L. Shanor and Paul J. Shanor both of Butler, Pennsylvania, Eight Grandchildren and two Great-Grandchildren, four Sisters, Mrs. James (Margaret) Balph of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Frank (Gladys) Rodgers of Jackson Center, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Harold (Thelma Jean) Cross of Butler, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Gerald (Charlotte) Schroth of Grove City, Pennsylvania, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her husband Joseph B. Shanor who passed away on November 17, 2000, one sister and two brothers.

Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, on Sunday, September 14, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the First English Lutheran Church, Monday, September 15, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend James W. Dolhopf officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to donor's favorite charity.
