Frances L. Shawkey, of
Lumar Village, Butler, died Sunday, November 30, 2003 at 8:35 p.m. at
Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of George S. Leith
and Jeanne Hill.
Mrs. Shawkey was a retired school teacher for the Butler Area School
District. She was a member of North Street Christian Church.
Mrs. Shawkey is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lillian Shaffer of
Butler, Pennsylvania, three nieces, Nancy Bonnett, Sally Beals, Maxine
Jackson, and one nephew, Charles Leith.
Mrs. Shawkey is preceded in death by her husband Merrill Shawkey, who
passed away on August 5, 1983 and by two brothers and one niece.
There will be no public visitation
Entombment will follow in Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Butler
County Memorial Park. |
