Gale L.Smith Obituary (1950 - 2019)

Gale L. Smith, 68, of Chicora, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 29, 2019 at his residence. He was born September 22, 1950 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Robert G. Smith and the late Eleanor C. (McGarvey) Smith. Gale worked as a Shipping Operator at Sonneborn LLC in Petrolia, PA for 41 years retiring in 2012. He attended Community Alliance Church. He is survived by his wife Jean M Smith whom he married on April 1, 1988; two brothers, Michael Smith and his wife Darla of East Brady, PA, and R. Neil Smith of Bruin, PA; two sisters, Linda Sheakley and her husband Rodney of Petrolia, PA, and Pam Emery and her husband John of Bruin, PA; a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 2 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 11:00 am at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc.with Reverend Doctor Dennis Krajacic of Community Alliance Church, officiating. Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates. Memorials are suggested to the VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.
